Painting as Poetry
Watercolour Impressions with Mind and Spirit
Art Classes exploring the fundamentals of watercolour

Welcome to Painting as Poetry, a heartfelt art experience where the magic of watercolour entwines with the rich tapestry of your creative spirit. These classes invite you to embark on a transformative artistic adventure, guided by Eve, a seasoned artist and advocate of intuitive painting.

Here, we embrace a different approach to traditional instruction, focusing on more than just technical perfection or aesthetic outcomes. As we explore the boundless possibilities of watercolour, our aim is to celebrate the artist within each person by tapping into the subtleties of intuition and emotional landscapes.

In the classes, the journey begins with the exploration of the fundamental techniques of watercolour. Through hands-on demonstrations and practical exercises, we delve into the art of washes, colour mixing, brushwork, and composition. These foundational skills serve as the building blocks of your artistic expression, providing you with the confidence to navigate the watercolour medium.

Together, we embrace the art of letting go, releasing self-doubt, and playing with the spontaneity that flows from our innermost being.

Within our intimate and supportive classes, we foster an environment where the creative process unfolds naturally. We value the unique journey of each participant, celebrating individual growth and expression.

Here, you will find a safe and nurturing space to explore your inner world and translate its essence onto paper. Through encouragement and gentle guidance, we help you capture the emotions, stories, and magic that yearns to express itself through you.

Guided by Eve Walker

Eve is a watercolour illustrator whose artistry encompasses children's stories, oracular spreads, and a forthcoming tarot deck. Her work draws inspiration from the realms of soul, the feminine mysteries, and the delicate veils between life and death. By alchemising the threshold between the animate and the elemental, Eve longs to evoke the inherent magick that lives at the core of each individual, revealing the hidden depths of the human spirit.

On the way there I was feeling nervous and a bit out of my comfort zone, but that soon melted away after a fragrant brew and guided meditation. The space was lovingly curated with soft ethereal music and beautiful touches here and there. Eve was so warm and welcoming we dropped into a grounded energy soon after beginning. I wasn't sure what to expect out of the class and was really impressed with the technical guidance of different methods shown. The colouring in portion of the class was a great bridge between initially learning the techniques and having a somewhat intimidating blank page in front of me. Eve's guidance and affirmations throughout the class were so supportive, the pressure to create something fell away, and intuitive painting was encouraged - it didn't need to be anything, it just was. I left feeling excited and confident to explore this medium on my own and honour my unique creative expression. It was such a beautiful day to share with my sisters, we all adored the session. This is a great gift idea for loved ones. Thank you Eve!!

The "Painting as Poetry" water colour workshop profoundly impacted me and the experience was nothing short of enchanting.Eve’s passion and her ability to transform water colours into a poetic language was inspiring.

Her knowledge and expertise was evident as she guided the small group through various techniques, clearly demonstrating the potential for water colours to illustrate emotions and stories. Eve was nurturing and supportive and created a sense of community.

"Painting as Poetry" was an enriching and transformative experience that taught me new skills and left me with an appreciation for the power of water colours.

As someone that believed I did not have an artistic bone in my body, from the very beginning I was given the confidence to explore and, two hours later, I surprisingly found my own voice within the art I created. I was encouraged to explore and paint with my heart and soul.
